Salima Hassaine is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Informatics and Operations Research
(software engineering group - GEODES),
University of Montreal, under the supervision of Dr. Yann-Gaël Guéhéneuc and Dr. Sylvie Hamel.
Her Ph.D. thesis aims at developing evolution analysis techniques by
adapting bioinformatics algorithms, to ensure the traceability of design choices during evolution.
She holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from University of Montreal in Canada
(under the supervision of Dr. Houari Sahraoui and Dr. Pierre Poulin) since 2007 and
an Engineering Diploma from University Saad Dahlab of Blida in Algeria (under the supervision of Dr. Mahieddine Mohammed) since 2004.
Her research interests are program understanding and program quality during development and maintenance,
in particular through software visualization, reverse engineering and the identification of recurring patterns using bioinformatics techniques.
